BEAD DESIGNER LINKS: (right now these are just some of the designers and cab makers listed already in connection with my designs. More will be added later)
You can buy most of these books either directly from the author or from Powell's online
I recommend Powell's City of Books. To help support your local author (me) please use the above search box and Powell's will give me a kickback that is almost as big a percentage as I make in royalties. Not much but it helps. Simply input the name of the book you wish to order in the search engine's window and click "search." Thanks.
Jennie Might : bead designer, author of four, or is it five, books of needlecase designs and small quilt pattern designs. All terrific books!
Barbara Ann Carroll : wonderful very modest bead artist, author of three BEADERS OF THE WORLD UNITE! books of highly original patterns with subtle color shadings and one of my favorite cabochon artists in the world. Be sure and go look at Barbara's cab necklaces when you go to her book page.
Suzanne Cooper : Bead Diva and designer supreme, author of loads of wonderful pattern books, her web page is full of information, designs, and great links for beaders and stained glass workers
Margie Deeb : Designer and author of two books--OUT ON A LOOM, full of loomed designs, and most recently, the marvelous and absolutely necessary THE BEADER'S GUIDE TO COLOR
Patti Large' :email Patti and tell her how wonderful her work is. She did all the beadwork on one page of this website!
Rita Sova :most recently known as the bead czarina of Bead-Patterns, CEO in charge of beady talent and other stuff at Sova Enterprises, Rita is not only an innovative and HELPFUL businesswoman but also a terrific bead designer, teacher and author. See her personal books and designs here.
Larkin Van Horn amazing fiber artist and maker of wonderful clothing, patterns, and other fiber artwork, including some spectacular bead embroidered pieces. Her website is a real treat and her very unassuming looking book, Beadwork for Fabric Arts (Larkin's Encyclopedia of Bead Stitches) is clear and inspiring, with nice color pix in the middle.
Paula Adams she has out several books but the one I use almost constantly is the one for bezeling cabochons in fascinating ways using large beads as well as seed or delica beads.
