Swarovski Crystal Teardrop Pendant
I had this vintage pendant sitting around so long the back was starting to craze but last year I devoted a lot of time and money into learning how to bezel and design with rivoli and pointed back crystals. My education included classes with Daeng Weaver and Melanie Potter and studying books on working with Swarovskis, my favorite of which is Laura McCabe's. I used a combination of techniques and embellishments to embezel my big honking teardrop, and I'm very pleased with how it turned out. There are amythest AB 4mm bicones and sapphire AB 4mm sequins used to surround the large stone and the same sapphire ABsequins and some amythest AB sequins embellish the rivoli on top. Peyote is the main stitch used in bezeling and baling and attaching these crystals to each other.
