Gallery 3 Cabochon Work, Designed and Beaded by Elizabeth Ann Scarborough

I bought the beautiful Mavis Smith bead this year as a Halloween present for me. I was unsure what to do with her when I entertained a couple of beaders and readers from Australia, online names Morgana and Aetheria, a delightful mom and daughter, who taught me their variation of a Dutch spiral rope inside of which you could conceal a strand of beads on Softlex to support a lampwork bead. I promptly made the necklace for this bead, although I confess I loved the necklace so much by itself I almost didn't hang the bead from it. Then I made her a tassle skirt so she's well dressed, if still armless, for Halloween.
