Flower Necklace and Earring Set
Our local bead store, Wynwood Gallery and Bead Studio, got a deal on these lucite flowers and although I am not normally a floral person, I fell for them hard. I had all kinds of elaborate ideas for how to weave them in to something but finally decided that, since they are very lightweight, a simple closed spiral strap would work best. I combined them with glass pearls in olive and red violet and some lavender round pearls I had already. The orchid beads at the tip of the earring are some my friend Lea bought for me to make something for her long ago so I worked them into this design for her in honor of her newly discovered passion for gardening.
