Gallery 3 Cabochon Work, Image 14 Designed and Beaded by Elizabeth Ann Scarborough

PINK SWIRLY THING ALERT

This gorgeous rhodochrosite cab was the inspiration for this piece. I used the rope technique from Paula Adams Cabochons book and added smaller rhodochrosite beads in a couple of sizes, some darker redder beads that are probably dyed something but I'm not sure what, pink pearls, rose quartz, and appropriately pink Swarovskis. Part of the fringe is twisted and the strap consists of three spiral ropes leading to the central station with another rhodochrosite cab, then strands of beads leading to a woven section that's comfy to wear on the back of the neck. This is a heavy piece, but worth it.
