Juanita the Whale is a cheerful flowery whale modeled after the fancifully painted wood carvings of Mexican folk artists. Juanita made her first appearance in my patterns as a center-whale on a Mexican Marine Tree of Life design. I had a great time doing a festive spiral strap and multicolored Swarovski crystals in her fringe.
