CHRISTMAS GARLAND SPIRAL NECKLACE 3 VARIATIONS
LAMPWORK BEAD GARLAND NECKLACE
INSTRUCTIONS (for similar necklace--see variation instructions below)
Christmas Garland Necklace (the one in the instructions)

I bought this lampwork bead last year from http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZmargolampwork (if you look right away before Christmas you may be able to capture a similar one. I've bought two more adorable ones from her this year). This was the first of the three related Christmas necklaces I made. For this one I used the same basic stitch in the instructions for the larger Christmas garland.
The difference is only in the embellishment beads. I use the same size 11 lighter green to frame a size 8 matte gold metallic in the first sequence, and a 3mm red miracle bead as the accent bead in the second sequence, alternating them the entire length of the necklace. When I had done about five inches of strap (for the back where you can't see the expensive fancy beads as well) I started adding tiny metallic Christmas bulbs I also obtained online from http://stores.ebay.com/PEANUTWHOLESALE.
I left out the blue ones in the packets to keep with the same color scheme as my lampwork bead, and alternated gold, red and green ones, using a bulb every fifth embellishment stitch so the sequence of embellishments was: gold bead, red mir bead, gold bead, red mir bead, gold bead with gold Christmas bulb, red mir bead, gold bead, red mir bead, gold bead, red mir bead with red Christmas bulb, gold bead, red mir bead, gold bead, red mir bead, gold bead with green Christmas bulb etc.
